When it is an insurance premium.

It seems that if you pay insurance premiums during your employment and you then attempt to collect, you can be denied under the 1993 ERISA act. Read about some of the horror stories here (http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080705/benefit_battles.html).

And the real pisser is it is within the power of Congress and the House of Representatives to correct this abuse. But they do nothing.

Wow, imagine that.... Congress is only in charge of the biggest scam in the history of the planet.

Wake up and smell the coffee, abuse is what business they are in. If you are within their power, you will be abused. What do you think the 14th amendment is for?.... so Congress can help you out????

Larry Craig is really a pretty good poster boy for Congress.
Some cretin that sneaks up behind you in a Men's Room.

"We have nothing to fear but fear itslef!"
"Ask not what your country can do for you...."

Has now become...."Don't bend over!"

Will science ever discover a cure for congress?

Each primary candidate gets $X; each party candidate gets $Y for each race and must participate in some minimum number of televised debates to continue receiving portions of the allocation.

Each candidate would have to have some variable minimum number of verifiiable unique signatures within the elected office's defined constituent residency to enter a primary.

Good idea - limit TV and radio campaigning to three live deabates and one hour the weekend before the election for each candidate to 'splain himself.
Get the mud slinging, lies, advertising BS ouit of the process.
Limit it to personal appearances for the rest, and then all we have to worry about of the news-whores slanting and over-analizing everything. :bang:
