This horse is something special.
All the talk about curlin and big brown in the triple crown, this horse makes virtually no news.
His last elimination race in 1:48 and change in a hand ride with trouble out of the gate. Are you kidding!

How much the best is this horse!

Very excited for the final!

More NY Press For 'The Beach'

July 18, 2008

Add the New York Daily News to the growing list of mainstream publications
that have given Somebeachsomewhere (
http://trackit.standardbredcanada.ca/?op=QRAP&id=507443 ) star treatment.

The undefeated Mach Three colt has caught the attention of major U.S. media
outlets since arriving on the Meadowlands Racetrack scene to tackle the $1.1
million Meadowlands Pace, which will be contested tomorrow night over the
East Rutherford, New Jersey oval.

Many followers have been comparing the 2008 Pepsi North America Cup winner
to the great Nihilator, and Bill O"Donnell, Nihilator's pilot, has given his
thoughts on what he thinks of the comparison.

"They can't catch (Somebeachsomewhere) to find out if they can look him in
the eye and wear him down," said O'Donnell. "He goes :27 quarters like he's
walking."

I agree with Rusty Nash

I too really want to see Somebeach do it. Good for the sport.
but watch the show pool for the bridge jumpers.

Bridgejumpers in harness are pretty rare......or just insane, to say the least.

... I think Art Official is the wise play, unless you just pass the race. He's a worthy opponent, and he may be the third or fourth favorite.

If anyone can beat Some Beach I think it will be no 7 Bulleville Powerful. This is a very good horse however he still has to beat the champ.

Nice call, Podnah!

I'm not a harness fan, but that was probably one of the greatest races I've ever seen.

It took a good and aggressive trip, combined with SS's roughest voyage yet, but hey --- a 25-bucker. :jump:

Of COURSE this was not a contest race. :(
