Any Yankee fans here?

The loss of Chien-Ming Wang, perhaps for the season, is a tough blow. But it may not be as bad as all that; the Yanks have a comer on the horizon.

No, not two-pitch Philip Hughes, or terminal nibbler Ian Kennedy, either.

The guy's name is Alfredo Aceves. He tossed a one-hitter for the AA Trenton Thunder yesterday. His ERA's been microscopic since he was called up from high A earlier this spring.

Before this year, he played in the Mexican League... no publicity for them on this side of the border, but they're considered AAA-equivalent. He was 11-5 there last year.

Cashman likes to go to the minors for pitching, and he's done well with it so far this year (witness Edwar Ramirez and Darrell Rasner). Watch for this guy.
