Just a mistake the organizers are saying. Yeah sure.
On the surface it would appear they don't want B. Hussein Obama associated in any way with Muslims. Wonder why? Maybe at his next forum we'll see a bigger crowd of hijab wearing ladies:

They are worried about this interview that came out a few days back
http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12918.htm

Obama's Brother calls him a muslim and makes some comments that won't go over well in some areas.

As the Jerusalem Post reports, "Barack Obama's half brother Malik said Thursday that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background. In an interview with Army Radio he expressed a special salutation from the Obamas of Kenya."

The Obama brothers' father, a senior economist for the Kenyan government who studied at Harvard University, died in car crash in 1982. He left six sons and a daughter. All of his children - except Malik -- live in Britain or the United States. Malik and Barack met in 1985 in the US.

"He was best man at my wedding and I was best man at his," said Malik in a 2004 interview with an AP reporter. Their paternal grandfather, Onyango Hussein Obama, was one of the first Muslim converts in Nyangoma-Kogelo, Malik said."

In a remarkable denial issued last November that still stands on the official campaign website, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a statement explaining that "Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."

Apparently Malik Obama, himself a Muslim, had not read the press release.

so the Israeli Headline:

Malik Obama confirms his half-brother Barack grew up a Muslim

so I read through the story looking for it....where is it?

Quote the Israeli Story lifted form the AP:

"Their paternal grandfather, Onyango Hussein Obama, was one of the first Muslim converts in Nyangoma-Kogelo, Malik said."

Full AP Quote:

Their paternal grandfather, Onyango Hussein Obama, was one of the first Muslim converts in Nyangoma-Kogelo, Malik said. However, not all of his descendants are Muslim, Malik added. Barack is Christian.

and they throw this in:

Apparently Malik Obama, himself a Muslim, had not read the press release.

Once again, leave it to Fox news and other conservative scum bags to make up lies about Obama since they can't come up with anything legit to attack him on. Here's what Britt Hume reported on Fox:

From the June 16 edition of Fox News' Special Report with Brit Hume:

HUME: Barack Obama is a practicing Christian, married in a Christian church, whose children were also baptized in that church. His campaign has emphasized his faith in part to dispel what the campaign calls an online smear campaign which contends among other things that Obama was raised a Muslim. There is even a statement on his official campaign website reading, quote, "Obama has never been a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."

But Obama's half brother is not so sure. Malik Obama tells The Jerusalem Post that "if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background."

The article was also accompanied by an image of Malik Obama holding a photo of him and Barack Obama both in Muslim dress, reportedly taken when the two first met back in 1985.

1) First of all, Malik did not speak with the Jerusalem Post. They pulled info from an interview he did with Israel's Army Radio. ABC news has a transcript of Malik's comments in that interview.

2) No where in those comments do the words "despite his Muslim background" appear.

So once again, far be it from Fox news to check any facts before reporting something, especially when the story involves spreading a lie about a democrat. It is almost comical how conservatives will talk about anything other than the real issues and continue to cling to something as meaningless as this Muslim issue, even after it's been debunked over and over again.

To hear Malik's comments:

Chick,

What you got against swine?

The journalists that are not actively pushing one side or the other are only outnumbered by the lazy suckups that are looking to get something "juicy" or "sexy" in the story as they know by experience that most people have very little interest in anything beyond trivialities.

To take anything at face value just because it's in the MSM leads to rubbish on the brain.

if you don't hear and/or see the whole event and/or go to the source material then you will be fair and balanced right into the same shit-hole the MSM inhabits.

yep, all conservatives are scum bags. That is why I posted this link the other day, to debunk the rumor about him not being a U.S. citizen.

I posted the link in this thread to add to the subject of the thread and move the "subject of the thread forward" in offering an explanation for the Obama campaigns actions in the original subject article of the thread. All for the sake of discussion..............you blow in and call conservatives scum bags. Nice......real nice.........

It is fairly unbelievable that this woman refuses to understand the reason why Obama would not want her in the frame. Just like his former church pastor could not understand that he was a detriment to Obama's campaign.

Jeremiah Wright was Obama's personal pastor. If he was to be a detriment to the campaign why did Obama stay with him so long? You don't need to answer that.

What is intriguing though is these two women would be welcomed in the John McCain photos and not the Obama photos. Why is that? (You don't need to answer that either, it was asked tongue in cheek.)

The fact is this man keeps throwing his previous personal history under the bus.
I wonder what else we don't know about him.

In a remarkable denial issued last November that still stands on the official campaign website, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a statement explaining that "Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."Don't these guys watch Seinfeld? They forgot to add the "not that there's anything wrong with that" after their denial!

But seriously, is Obama (and the Democratic Party for that matter) trying to say that there is something WRONG with being Muslim? They don't want to be pictured with such people, and they go out of their way to try and hide the Muslim background of Obama's family while growing up....odd.....

Being part of a minority group himself, you would think Obama would be more compassionate in this area...if a Republican had done or said such things, 46 and Hcap would have typed half-way towards carpel tunnel syndrome by now.

Of course there's something wrong with being a "Muslim" among many of the uneducated/racist peeps in the population he is trying to reach.

Don't notice many hanging around with Mccain , either, far as I can tell.
Strange that................

You were already knowing that now weren't you.

I don't want to take us too far off topic, but speaking of Muslim ladies the following story from Britain surfaced on the web two days ago.
It's at: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1027300/How-I-nearly-lost-business-refusing-hire-Muslim-hair-stylist-wouldnt-hair.html

"It seems too lunatic to be true. But here a hair salon boss reveals how she was driven to the brink of ruin - and forced to pay £4,000 for 'hurt feelings' - after refusing to hire a Muslim stylist who wouldn't show her hair at work .."
