with all the thoughts expressed here,is anyone thinking about
the stud value of BB relative to the debacle of the Belmont including
the sniping between the owners,trainer and Jockey.

As Three Chimneys is in a perilous condition no matter what the outcome of the Haskell as now the med will change(reard the DRF t'm'w regarding the controversy on steroids), it seems highly unlikely they
will recapture their 50 million + investment.

Question is if they could challenge their investment given this situation?

They didn't invest 50 million, they invested 5 million for 10 percent.

With any luck, Big Turd will be as good a sire as (cough cough) Spectacular Bid, whose stud fee ended up falling to $3500.

Maybe I'm way off, but Paul Pompas was reportedly offered
at least 5,000,000 after the Saratoga win.

He apparently received about 3mm from IAEH and stayed in at 25%


After the Derby and Preakness wins, it would seem that a 5,000,000
buy in for 10% of the breeding rights doesn't make sense especially
to IAEH.
