I don't know if it's real or not, but it's certainly conceivable. Cellphones operate on the microwave frequency.

When people continue to tell me these devices are NOT going to be the next "cigarettes" I will refer them to this video and ask them if they still think it's safe to glue this device to your head for an hour or so at a time....

The 'cell phone and popcorn popping campaign' is completely untrue and a joke. It has been seen by over 4.1 million users already and has become a sort of global urban legend as it continues to be tried throughout the world

I suspected as much but why didn't I think of Snopes? I always go there first.

Don't need to glue it to your head - use a headset but one of the older types with a wire. The bluetooths give off radio waves too...

Bluetooth runs at about 0.1% of the power of a cell phone. (and a cell phone runs at about 0.1% of the power of a microwave oven)

Radiation from power lines is real. There are limits as to voltage levels that can be carried across lines in populated areas as it is the hi-tension lines that you see on the high cross country towers that pose the real danger. That's why they are high and away from people :) .

Yes, but I have still not seen an explanation of how the trick videos were created.

Anyone? Anyone?

Could they have been stupid enough to mount a magnetron (http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/magnetron.html) underneath the table top? It's easy enough to do and at least worth an honorable mention for a Darwin (http://www.darwinawards.com).

then the easiest way to get rid of our enemies would be to give them a cell phone, up the power and let them talk themselves to death with unlimited free minutes.

Wait a minute, I paid for that plan.

Is this true? No..really...is this true???
