Various news releases have surfaced in recent weeks all indicating the various telecommunication companies that maintain the big pipes for the internet are thinking about charging a higher fee for the biggest consumers. Here's the latest example. (http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080612/tec_at_t_internet.html)
Could this potentially impact streaming video of the races that most ADW accounts provide their customers?

Time Warner Cable started a trial earlier this month in Beaumont, Texas, under which it will charge subscribers who go over their monthly bandwidth cap $1 per gigabyte.
I guess Verizon sales are going up in that area! :bang:
IF my ISP did this, I would be shopping before the bill came. I doubt I am in the top 5%, but what does this really do to help? If the top 5% NEED the extra bandwidth, they simply pay more.
If AT&T is concerned about congestion, they need to build a better network.

I doubt it would affect those, or us.
Those overages, as I understand them, are for a very small amount of people (kids) who download movies and stuff all day long.
Yes, I think that is mostly for personal use, not business use.
