Do you use a software program when you handicap? If so, which one? Just trying to see how many of you more experience players use a program.
I use a software program, but like others on the board mine is homegrown.
Que.
I am currently trying/using Horse Street Handicapper and have used Capsheet, All-Ways, and HTR Handicapping in the past.

I am just finishing my first month using HTR and I am pretty impressed with it. I also use ProPace. In the past, I have used Brohammer's MPH, all of Sartin's programs through Thoromation, and countless versions of Total Pace, from right out of the book to using BRIS pace numbers. I have EasyCapper from Cynthia, but I bought it only for the pars times.

I use software, homegrown, Access 2000 / SQL Server 7

Myself, I've just finishing reading Modern Pace Handicapping so I've tried the demo version of HTRF. I did a dry run yesterday at Woodbine, the 2 line limit made me miss a couple of races, but I did get the 14-1 shot in the last over the even money fav. So I guess I'm happy. Still learning Brohamer's theories.
Tim,
What's your opinion of SQL Server 7? Has it made a big difference in terms of processing time and scale issues?
