Guys,

The Bel P6 on Wed looks like a mini turf festival. The weather on Wed is supposed to be nice but tonight there might be severe thunderstorms. Due to work schedule I need to do most of my handicapping for Wed today so here is my question: assuming heavy rain tonight what's the chance that the turf races will be moved to the dirt? Here in california if we have heavy rain the night before the chances are high that turf races would be moved - but it doesn't rain much in southern california (isn't that a song)....what happens in elmont?

thx!

with +90 degree temps since Saturday, T'Storms rolling thru NY tonight
should not take races off the turf. If you want to take course condition
into your handicapping, "Good" turf is the worst case scenario for June 11th.

Living through these last couple days in NYC there have been short showers at night, but it would take a real deluge to make an off course. Expect some dampness, but no way its soggy

Thanks for the skinny on the NY weather. That'll save me some 'capping time.

Here's an excellent radar map, centered to Belmont Park(Elmont,NY)
Zoom in with toggle switch on top left of radar map right to track!

None of that rain touched Belmont, believe it or not....it all drifted north east...

Belmont will be fast and firm. That sucker was baked hard for the last week and the rains missed Elmont.

good news and thx much for the update guys! I was watching Yonkers last nite and it looked really wet (track listed as sloppy) so I would have guessed at a minimum Belmont would have started out wet.
