Curlin to carry 128lbs in the Foster

How the hell can Asmussen complain about 128? He should have been assigned more. Giving 12 lbs to a slug like Student Council should not a problem for the Horse of the World. I just keep thinking of the Nerud story when he asked Tommy Trotter to put 145 on Dr. Fager in the Vosburgh. Trotter refused and gave him 139. He ran 7f in 1:20 1/5.

Asmussen is just doing his job trying to get the lowest possible weight for his runner. I doubt he will skip a million dollar race over 2 lbs. At least he's not as bad as frankel with the weights.

Asmussen isn't as bad as Frankel. I think he's just trying to point out the big difference. 15 is big. I hope Curlin smashes this field. We need to see something positve after last weekend.:rolleyes: (Not taking anything away from Da Tara.)

You can't complain if you are going to run.

If you are going to accept the 128, keep your mouth shut and just accept it.
