There are just so many ways one can film or televise. Originality hit a new low a few seasons ago when just about all scenes from a good show, Law and Order were not only hand held, but deliberately moved around randomly (much like you would on a moving train or boat). While the producers must have slapped themselves on the back, the result was CRAP. That wasn't originality pal, that was incompetent camera work.
Watching a movie today "The Kingdom" I had to turn it off several times and drink Ginger Ale as it made me sick to my stomach following the Law and Order style.
If I moved my hand held like that at the gate, I would be fired.
