He already received his winstrol on May 15 and is not due again until June 15. So, of course he will not get the winstrol before the Belmont.

This whole thing is a prime example of the joke that is the rules and regulations of Thoroughbred racing.

The media (even racing media, such as the T-bred times) are presenting Big Brown as some sort of UNIQUE example in the game...a horse racing on steriods.

It's really a shame that Big Brown's image is being tarnished like this...anyway they can to shoot this horse down I suppose.

Let's not talk about all the supposed "great" champions of the past that more than likely raced on steroids.....Secretariat (that neck!), Affirmed, Alydar, Cigar (that neck!), Winning Colors, Lure, Easy Goer, Point Given, Invasor, Barbaro, Go For Wand, Bayakoa, Bernardini, Spectacular Bid, Seattle Slew, and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on......

Anabolic steroids have been around sporting events since the 50s and 60s. If you don't think your favorite horse of all time was/is racing on steroids, you're more than likely kidding yourself. It's been legal this whole time, and we all know most if not all horse trainers will use any edge they can find, especially if it is LEGAL.

'Nuff said.

Pace, isn't it only an *edge* if not everyone is doing it? In tennis remember when they started making the rackets bigger, hence the "sweet spot" got bigger, too. But *all* players went out and bought those rackets, thereby leveling the field......again.

So, here's the thing: do you really have an *edge* once everyone is participating in that edge? What would be the diffence in a field of athletes, human or animal:
1) all are on anabolic steroids
or
2) all are not on anything

I agree it's not fair to single-out BB, since most of the horses are shot-up. But many of us do have a preference for no drugs......period.

It will be interesting to watch CD's career, not just in this race. I'd be interested to see what the outcome is, assuming Tada doesn't cave:

Nobutaka Tada of the Casino Drive camp said the colt would not be on bleeder medicine or steroids for the Belmont Stakes.

Steroids don't level the field they weaken the breed.

Take away inflammation and injuries SKYROCKET. It's a simple as that.
