THINK ABOUT THIS . About a couple decades ago their was a group of egoistical creeps like you that ran 3 XL car auctions weekly in differnt locales.
After developing great clientle at all 3 auctions they got greedy and started screwing all the dealers with huge buy/sell fees and showing favoritism to a few. They then started buying cars out of state and running these" thru the auction at PRIME TIME early afternoon. completely thinking they had the only game in town and could do what they wanted. LO and behold one week at all three locations when it was time to run their 250 cars thru at all three sales they couldn't...seems they had a problem =ALL THE KEYS CAME UP MISSING IN THEIR CARS ..roflamo ;) ;) AND THE NEXT WEEK it was about every 3 rd car the keys were missing.. 3rd week they had ..a comple attitude adjustment ROFLMAO and all the keys from each week were found.. LOL ;)
YOU GOT TO MUCH COMPETITION won't work for you
your *keys* are us horseplayers/the largest financiers of the.. sport i would'nt wait much LONGER if i was you straithtening yur CRAP out.
There are plenty of flea markets around and nobody needs your property either ,,,,,horse shows won't pay the taxes
Don't wait till expensive legal things happen or there arent' enough players.. =
FINANCIERS OF YOUR GAME. ...welp.....back to the casino, dogtrack, and CARDROOM..

The industry isn't going to listen to your threats when stated as such, and I doubt you can make much difference all by yourself. You need others to help.
Most of us don't like views shoved down our throats. If you have to preach, perhaps you could do so in a way that doesn't let a statement such as "egoistical creeps like you" (sic) get taken personally by the reader, which is exactly how I interpreted it before I figured out what you meant.
Also, I don't see the analogy to thoroughbred racetracks or horsemen. They aren't the only game in town, and simulcasting, ADW's, and OTB's mean they aren't even the only racing game in town. There's plenty of competition from around the country that's available to the bettor in most places.
Stealing keys from auto auctions doesn't translate well to action taken against the racetracks. What are you going to do: swipe their hot dogs?
Also, greyhound racing is dying out, and except for Florida and a few other locations, the handle is down about 70% from what it was 15 years ago.

Tom your points are duly noted. I believe that the racing industry will only listen to voices of reason that can present an economic impact. All handicappers maybe should keep this in mind. Thanks for making this point.
EZPACE - "I feel your pain." I understand your frustrations. You're intentions are well known to many of us and I sense that they are heartfelt and serious. You voice WILL be heard. Help us to bring a moderate position and have a seat at their table. They all will listen closely when we have properly gained their collective attention.

TB many others got the point here, and in emails ... as usual.. You type before you read others posts a couple times and apparently missed the points others sure got. And TB you are right you don't know me and you
don't know what *WE* are legally capable of. end of discussion
and Murph your right* OUR*intentions are very very seriously ment. Properly gaining their attention hasn't worked for decades. There are other legal ways to get
their attention. and WE WiLL..

I believe that the racing industry will only listen to voices of reason that can present an economic impact. The problem with your ill-supported proposition is that tracks and horsemen define "reason" as "we're entitled to all of the profits ... and shit on all you derelicts down at the rail."
Hit them with a genuine "economic impact" and they'll cave to players reason ... even while the players are telling 'em what they think of their mothers. Anything less is a complete waste of players' time and effort ... and that's exactly what the industry wants and expects players to do.
History proves that players' money is the only "voice" that crowd has ever cared to understand.

So ...
should I assume you are against me and the position I am taking on the matter? OR are you just trying to bait me into a flamer again?
I don't qualify as a derilict and no one is going to shit on me (especially you) without getting some back on themself - no matter where I am standing to watch the races.

You're such a tough guy, aren't ya ... not to mention a self-proclaimed wizard at the windows.
I have much better ways to waste my time than being concerned over your opinion on anything ... but when you advocate wasting players' time and efforts vs the tracks and horsemen, I'm gonna tell you that you aren't foolin' anybody, except maybe yourself.

Look here Kelso,
I do not want to keep feuding with you. We are on the same side. It is counter-productive and damaging to the handicappers alliance. It's interesting that you post into this thread because when I first read TB's message I thought of you.
I have lots of room for compromise and aggreement with you. I am willing to try and find it if you are of the same mind. We CAN work together on addressing these important issues. That's the only way I can imagine our lot as handicappers will ever change.
Peace, man.
We stick together and we can make a difference for the better for the bettor. That's what it's all about - it's what we both really want/need to make happen as quickly as possible. I do not mean to intentionally misread your last post. Honest!

But we part company on the general question of how to deal with track managers and horsemen. To me, both groups have long, determined and consistant histories of putting players dead last. I see no reason to cut them any slack.
Know your enemy.
