Where can I find full results for a race? Im not talking just the finishers 1-4, but finishers 1-8. All these "database" sites have soo much info except who came in 5th, 6th, 7th, etc... Do I have to go to the track and get a hardcopy, or worse track the places myself?
this is my first time posting and I dont know a whole lot about horse racing.

The "official" source that the rest of them get their data from is Equibase.

Note that full charts are only available for a week or so. Older than that and you've got to buy them...

I like these because you have the option of using the actual running lines of each horse instead of traditional chart beaten lengths. (Where was this when I used to have to hand enter every chart every day?)

When equibase lists the results they are in finish order. Go to Summary results and look at the first at Arlington, for example.

Now look at the charts and you will see they finished 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. in that order out of the money.

HDW downloads have the result files and charts as well as many other sites. Where are you looking now? Summary results are kept on Equibase for a month or so.
