with a real possibility of a triple crown winner, great weather, and full fields, Pimlico Race Course managed a 20% decrase in all forms of handle for their marquis day. since i know we are not in a recession, it must be the way that the Tracknet has been able to disinfrachise loyal horse racing enthusiasts form supporting their beloved sport.
I am almost positive that if the Tracknet continues on this policy to crash horseracing, they will certainly succeed in a few short years.
the question i am dying to have answered is if they can create a carryover effect for Belmont on the Belmont Stakes Day. In recent years when a horse wins both the Derby and the Preakness, the handles for Belmont have gone way up.
lets see how good this Tracknet really is, if they can kill the interest in this sport all together!
