Random Thoughts from Simulcastland on Wednesday's 9-race card at SUFFOLK DOWNS(May 21)- by BombsAwayBob Grant
12:45pm/ET First Post ~Heavy rain forecast for area Tuesday never materialized, so I'm hoping Good/Fast for the 9 race card.
Looks quite chalky; morning lines look too high on #1 & #5 in first; #4 in 3rd; #9 in 4th; #7 in 7th; #10 in 9th
Note: Suffolk has ONLY TWO Pick-3's on card; Races 3-4-5 & Races 7-8-9; Pick-4 on Races 6-7-8-9; DimeSupers~Races 2-4-7-9
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st-mile/Md$5k~ #1,Harlanquin, 4-Time Beaten Chalk-PASS. Try the Woolworth.JJ Manning trains #10,Here On Out; Jay Bernardini trains lightly raced #5,Whats D Difference; either shipper could do it.
2nd-5.5F/clm$5kN2L~ #7,Lhotse Quality cliffdives from $35k to $5K off +220 day vacation,BOOM-BOOM LANCI up..- if he runs,PASS. #11 is Capt.Obvious; I like #6,That's No Party;Drop+cutback=Win@ 4/1?
3rd-6F MSW$17k~ Captain Obvious foursome, #2,Musical Wildcat, #5,Hasta La Pasta, #9, Boken Lady; & #4,City Connection, who should've won 2 back for $25k; wait for her back on lawn.
4th-6F/clm$4kN1Y(Nov.21)~ Best Bet~ #9,UU Star ran 11 days ago; 3rd start of year=17th win for 10YO vs. speed-challenged bunch. Matt Carother's TV Show predecessor, Fifty-Seven Flat (#4) next best. Key #7 Third!
5th-mile/clm$6250~ if I'm right about City Conn in the 3rd, here's where Aurora Springs Stable gets a win with #8,Big Red Girl. Bomb of the Day~#9,River Maam finds this $6250 bunch easier than '07 foes.
6th-mile&70y/clm$25kN3L~ Trainers Wayne Marcoux & Joe Signore are off to the best start I've seen in their many years of training @ Suffolk. Both #4 & #6 off wins. I'll include the #1 & #3 in Pick-4 start.
7th-5.5F/clm$4kN2Y(Nov.21)Best betting race on the card. #1 & #8 both ran huge two back with Bryan up. #4,Regent Exec, 4-of-6 wins @5.5F. I like #7,Harvick. Perfect stalking Trip? #9,Pasta, King Carlos cooking.
8th-6F/OC$16kN2X~ Pick your Rigattieri; speed of #2 or close of #1. Three horses are in for tag: #5-7-8;PASS. #4,It's Doms Turn is fast, in form, & second time bute. My price pick, but I'll use both Rigs in P4.
9th-6F/Md$5k~ 17-time Maiden #6,Thank You Note, plunges to rock-bottom; Logical, Yet, he's burned more money than the treasury! #3,Nu Wonder, excuse last out; #10 Love of DandySurprise Pkg.
My late Pick-4, 6th@Suffolk:$1P4(1,3,4,6)(7)(1,2,4)(10)=$12
Early Pick-3, 3rd@Suffolk:$1P3(2,4,5,9)(9)(8,9)=$8
Late Pick-3, 7th@Suffolk:$1P3(4,7,9)(1)(3,6,10)=$9
GOOD LUCK to ALL. ~ Entire race card broadcast Live on TVG Network. ~
