You are the owner of Casino Drive. This is the biggest race of this young horse's career. You've lost your jockey for the Belmont to some horse named Big Brown. You need a new jockey, there are many good jockeys available, who do you select?

Garrett Gomez hands down. Go-Go has a great sense of pace, is perhaps the most aggressive rider racing today and is gold when the money's down.

I'd take Borel. Going twelve furlongs, you need to save all the ground you can, and there's nobody better at that than he is.

Take is one of the best in the world. The same people brought a couple other horses with them, which would give him the chance to run on the track if he really needed it, which I doubt he does

Wasn't Prado the rider of Birdstone? Somebody ask him if he knows what it takes to dethrone a Triple Crown Candidate..................but he won't have Bailey and Solis working for him this time

Would a bug still get weight? If so, Sebastian Morales; his best rides are two turns. If not, give Mario Pino the nod, its a race he deserves and he'll ride it like it is his last.

No weight for bugs in stakes competition

Create some excitement in the next few weeks.....Imagine.....Japanese owner throws $500K flat mount fee at Desormeax to ride Casino Drive. That's a race. I truly feel Casino Drive is going to give Big Brown everything he can handle and it won't require Kent.

I'm so torn w/this race. I so badly want to see the Triple Crown won for "our" sport. I think Big Brown could really be something special However, it makes me sick to see Dutrow as the trainer....Bonds, Clemens, Assmussen.....it looks good, feels good, smells good, but tastes like the cat sh!T in your mouth.

Since he could also achieve the same effect by riding BB, the owners of BB should bestow a farm subsidy on Prado and find mounts for him out of town. ;)

Don't tell Funny Cide...Wasn't that Prado impersonating Baily on Empire Maker?

This stuff used to be stored in my internal equivalent of ROM. I don't know whether it's overflow or over age, but I appreciate help from the fact checkers.

Sorry, a bit off topic but not worthy of its own....Anyone know if they plan on running Casino Drive without Lasix in the Belmont? (Ran without in the Peter Pan)

I assume Jazil and Rags ran with it?

Will be interesting if he goes first time Lasix.....

Does Cornelio have a mount already?
If not, I'd give him a shot.

The only way I'd bet Casino Drive to WIN is if Superman was his jock and flew him around track.

Today's racing journalists will be too busy fawning over BB to even bother asking the trainer if he'll be FTL for the Belmont.

Personally, i can't stand having to bet on no lasix horses because i don't want to be the sucker who's on board when the horse first bleeds. (i'll just wait for FTL to wager on said horse)

Edgar Prado (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Edgar+Prado), Garrett Gomez (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Garrett+Gomez), Victor Espinoza (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Victor+Espinoza) all have been floated as possible jockeys, along with Japan (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Japan)'s own Yutaka Take (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Yutaka+Take), who rode Casino Drive to victory in his debut.

"We'll see what is best for the Belmont Stakes," Tada said.

Casino Drive will not race on any medication for the Belmont as he did in his Peter Pan victory.

"No medication," Tada said. "He runs to the best of his ability without medication."

I read that they are announcing the jockey today. If they go by the poll results, it should be Prado. Take would be interesting, but I don't think you can have his first experience with the Belmont oval, be the Belmont stakes. Gomez is on Macho Again.

Prado would be the best choice. It would be funny if Prado got the ride and beat Big Brown...I don't think Dutrow would ever talk to him again.

Dutrow's comments about Prado after the Preakness were completely unwarranted.

They should really ride Jean-Luc Samyn. He has been riding New York since the mid 1970's, nobody knows the track better. He brought in some nice longshots this week that lessor jockeys would not would have been able to win on. There is no better roi jockey racing in New York today.

I think its going to take.
I voted for him, he is a great jock.

Not that I Want to see him on Casino drive, but I think thats who it will end up being.

Would be cool to see a lesser known jock get a crack . There are a lot of good ones out there .

I voted and some of the votes are hilarious:lol:

Crap... well, forget about the equine competition for BB...Kent D will have to keep his radar sharp and watch Prado.
