I'm going with #5 in here. Couldn't handle Zacharov last out, but this is 3rd off the layoff and I'm looking for a little improvement, while seeing Zach regress a little from that outer gate.

OK I finally figured out where everybody was. Kind of like in my bar hoppin' days....keep hoppin' until I find the crowd.

Only late scratch at SA as of now is #4 Shesa Nasty Girl in R5.

I'm already on record as to how crummy this card is, but here goes for the early plays.

R1
$6W on #1 Throw Me Roses and $4W on #4 South Apple. $10 total.
Those two have shown some spunk.

$2DD from the 1-4 to #3 in R2 $4 total.
Baffert barn is warming up and he usually has these Maidens ready to stretch out. Otherwise you pick between 6/5 and 7/5!

Balance $36

I'm going to hang for one more race... They're calling for Blood donations at all Boston Hospitals and I'm going to Jump on the T and shoot over to Mass General.

You're a good man Sufferin. My daughter had knee surgery at Brigham and Womens a few years ago. I spent about a week at a motel in Cambridge down the street from there.

Info item: They ripped the dirt 6" last night which is pretty deep. Guess with the sun/wind yesterday they wanted to get some moisture up into the surface. It's breezy and warm today. First race will give clues to how the inside will play; and, how fast the track is. This is the kind of day where it can get pretty fast.

I would love for it to be one of those days where all you need to handicap is who gets the lead!

R1
Well that worked out OK. With the short field the 1-horse actually comes out of the 3-hole which gets her off the rail. Then when the 5 and 3 fired out it left a gap so the 1 could come outside the leaders and track from there. #3 puts the #5 away and then #1 puts the #3 away in deep stretch. #4 ran an even race and got up for 3rd. Favorite is a pig that never belonged in that stakes race.

#1 pays $8.40 so I get $25.20 back; and, I'm live with a $2 double to the #3. Double probable is $58.

Track seemed to play fair.

R2
P Val was determined to get the lead on the #4 even with #3 gunning inside. #4 took over up the backside and drew out by 4 into the turn. #5 came along into 2nd when they hit the lane but #4 was up by 6 and widening. #5 was 2nd and #3 was 3rd.

No double today.

Balance is $61.

R3
Well my buddy Pic6vic likes the #3, Linda Eder, in here a little. I like her work on the 10th so maybe it's a signal that she can run back to her effort last time at this level. Lafitt takes over and she figures to get the trip. Rail is out 30' which favors speed. I'm guessing that either the #6 or #7 will go for the lead.

So I'll risk a ten spot here.

$4 win on #2; and, a $1 P3 using 2 with 4/7 with 1/2/9 for $6.

Total bets $10

Balance $51

Well #6 went and got the lead uncontested sprinted away to a big lead on the backside before getting overhauled on the turn. I didn't like the ride Lafitt gave me on Linda Eder, while P Val gave the #7 Sister Patricia a perfect tracking trip, slipped thru on the inside into the lane and opened daylight while the #4 and #2 chased outside to no avail. The winner, an 8YO, looked good on the track and won easy.

Next race!

Hey Sufferin you're back.

R4 SA
At the price I need a little win $ on the #7.

And, I'm taking a stand against the #8 and going with the #1 and #4 to kickoff a P3

Bets
$6W #7
$1 P3 1/4 with 1/2/9 with 3/5/6/7/8 that's $30
and
a double dip $1 P3 4 with 2/9 with 6/7/9 that's $6

Total bets are $42

Balance $9

Result R4
The #3 got out on the lead and got brave. It had showed some improvement last time and some more today was enough. Thought my #7 had a big shot off the turn but it couldn't close and the #1 came off the rail into the lane and closed but not enough. At least I was right about the #8!

Running out of bullets now!

Your 1 almost ran down that 3.... that 3 ....after looking... on the drop and the 2nd off layoff.. was a great bet at 10-1.....

I'm not sold on this 9 in the fifth... Looks like she got a dream rail trip in last.. the 8 comes out of same race... Looks like a wide trip in debut got to her... 2nd out improve and a better trip in store .. Notice comment that she was steadied after start... also was bet to 4-1 in debut in an 8 horse field... Going to Key in a pik3 8 to 6-8/6-7........ 20 win 8..... 20 ex 8-2

#9 had a troubled start last time.

I'm starting to dislike the outside in these sprints today.

I have nice works on both the #1 and #2 so I'm just doing a $1 exacta box 1-2-9 for $6 which leaves me a balance of $3.

Update
#2 is taking some serious money

Damn...thought I had lost the bob on that one. Did start a P3 with my regular money, but my contest piggy bank is down to $3!
Here's my P3's--I'm just going to root this home.

This is a toughie. The #8 had a perfect inside trip last time and now goes outside. That's offset some because it's 7f. I didn't use the #1 or #2 in my P3's because the inside at 7f is tough on horses trying to make the lead. But, I think that the #1 could improve some more and that makes him dangerous. I like the fact that Solis goes with the low-profile trainer. If the jock on the #3 stays inside and saves ground then that's his best trip. Don't like the #4. Used the #5 because I didn't want to toss it! Same for #6. #7 has won at the distance and has speed to get position. #8 also has some speed and I respect the trainer.

Tough race, huh!

Something for everybody! Wish the #7 could've stayed on. 8-1 in my P3. #8 was tough late. Still I'm alive with 4 ways out on 3 tickets.

In R7 you have a couple speedballs who will probably compromise each other's chances. #3 Rocky Bar and #2 Devil's Horn. The other speed is the #5 Grandiser and #1 Ecstatic.

Of the four that I used (4,6,7,8) #4 is the most tractible and has wins on this layout and at this meet. The other three all have wins down the hill here and with the expected pace scenario should be in the hunt late.

Grandiser #5 at 20-1. Solis got off. Horse bled through the Lasix last time. Just couldn't use him with the other speed signed up. P3's are done.

R8
I have $3 left of contest money and I'm betting it to win on #3, Abarouge. Hoping that Victor just took back last time after the bad start...hey it's only contest money anyway.

Good luck to the AQU P4 players over the weekend. Sufferin and anyone else want to do TAM next Tuesday, I'll be here.

Yea,,, I just threw the Video on in time to catch Steven's interview... He's well spoken huh? I like those Jock's interviews at SA,.. Pretty informative... I like the way he spelled out his trip...

Anyway... Tampa... possibly.. you may wanna consider Suffolk... they're Tuesday card is A+ for Suffolk.

Going to just Peek at Sammy PP's and see what the card looks like.

I played two races. I like Reid M. quite a bit.. and I like the effort sam Houston puts out.

But when Horses that Fail by 40 lengths in MD15,000 and drop to Md10,000 and are 4-1 Morning lines... it tells you alot about the Horse pool down there. They run um in off the Cow ranches for those races... and there's about 4 or 5 of them on the card. You have to Hang around to the Feature to see real race horse's

I need money for NY tommorrow,,, not going to Blow my little NY Budget in Texas, on that stock.
