Dont ask me how. I can not reveal. Durkins call.
"Ok they are all in line and THEY OFF IN THE 140th RUNNING OF THE BELMONT STAKES! That's Macho Again who going to go out for the early lead. Moving up on the outside is Icabad Crane and Big Brown settles in just beside him. Casino Drive will sit off their flank and its a length back to Tale of Ekati and two back to Denis of Cork,Racecar Rhapsody,Tomicito and Anak Nakal who is trainling the pack. (Now not much will happen until the far turn into the stretch and teh race willl be modest paced with no real blazing speed)
So it goes:
"Into the far turn and Macho Again still has the lead, and Take of Ekati is now trying to get by him,BIG BROWN IS MAKING A BIG MOVE ALONG WITH CASINO DRIVE WITH 3 FURLONGS TO GO. AND NOW BIG BROWN IS IN FRONT and CASINO DRIVE IS SWINGING 5 WIDE AND DENIS OF CORK IS PASSING MACHO AGAIN ON THE INSIDE AND RACECAR RHAPSODY IS GATHERING MOMENTUM FROM THE BACK OF THE PACK. BIG BROWN,BIG BROWN IS TAKING OFF AT THE EIGHT POLE WITH A NUDGE FROM DESORMEAUX!!! CASINO DRIVE CANT GET TO HIM. IT LOOKS TO HAVE HISTORY IN THE MAKING HERE BUT HERE COMES RACECAR RHAPSODY!!! RACECAR RHAPSODY IS COMING WITH GIANT STRIDES TOWARDS BIG BROWN. DESOMEAUX IS NOW GETTING INTO BIG BROWN. AS THEY COME TO THE FINAL 1/16 DESOMEAUX IS ASSSSKING BIG BROWN FOR EVERYTHING HE HAS. AND ALBARADO AND RACERACE RHAPSODY ARE COMING WITH ONNEEE FINNALLL SSURRGGEEEEE AND ITTT'SSS (audio cuts out)

Damn!!,have to wait till June. Can not wait.

The last time I did this on a messageboard was "AND HERE COMES BIRDSTONE RALLYING AFTER SMATY JONES!! STEWART ELLIOT IS IMPLORING SMARTY JONES FOR ONE LAST EFFORT. HERE COMES BIRSTONE WITH A FINAL TRYYYY AND cutoff.

I think only two people answered me and said I was a moron(haha) and that Birdstone would only beat one horse if he was lucky and I should go to the bank on Smarty over I forgot the two other horses for an Exacta.

Just having fun was thinking Racecar or Denis of Cork would get brown in the final strides.

Well, I'll answer, but I'm not going to take the bait and call you a moron. :D

You are very possibly right that a deep closer may take the Belmont. If Desormeaux makes his move too soon, BB may not have anything left to fight with.

Also, as of now, I think Albarado is announced for Denis of Cork, and there are no indications that Racecar Rhapsody will enter.

It will be interesting to see how many early speed types enter. We may end up with a dawdling pace of :50 for 4 furlongs.

I enjoy reading this race-call ... but what about Casino Drive's lure, Sparkle Candle?

Casino Drive's races looked every bit as easy as BB.

Travers of 1930 (much like this year's Belmont) had two colts thought to be in a match race: Whichone and Gallant Fox. Neither won as Jim Dandy ran off at 100-1.

There are no sure things in racing even when there are two UNBEATABLES contending.

KD went too early on Real Quiet a few years ago in the Belmont. He'll want to wipe that memory forever with a calculated move this time.

He is not much more than a competent rider.

Casino Drive was in an all out drive at the top of the bend and saw the whip early and often. Good ole Kent did the best he could to soften him up....Nothing easy about that win...Nothing.

That is music to my ears...think I'll have to go back and watch that race video again.
I guess CD may breeze today...be interesting to actually watch him work.

I'll be at beautifiul Belmont on June 7th, and at the risk of being
optimistic, I don't expect to hear Tom's call as the screaming of the
fans watching BB win by about 10 lengths will drown out his usual
eloquent call.

Regardless of the spin of the owners and trainer this game and
world certainly could use a hero who hopefully will prove his courage on Saturday.

Lloyd Bentsen to Casino Drive (presumably in horsey talk):

"I knew Birdstone, Studley, and you're no Birdstone."

That win was pretty easy. Don't know what you were watching.

Casino was whipped but people are underestimating what we know about the horse, really. He's lightly raced and he might be improving. When dueling at that distance, he surely can keep up with Big Brown given the right scenario. To act like you can gauge three year olds, especially lightly raced ones, is a mistake. This can go for Big Brown as well, but we've seen his performances and I'd be hard pressed to say that he is going to run a 113 in this race. I think they'll both run around 105s and maybe even some longshot will be up around them, depending on the relaxation of the horses. We shall see, that's why we call it

gambling.
