Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R1 - #6 Charity Fight-Improved greatly when trying turf last time. Earned a
competitive fig in that effort and should contend here.
R2 - #4 Break Point-Has managed 2 troubled races for new barn. A clean trip
should put this one right in the mix.
R3 - #2 Senorita Swinger-Barn is very capable with laid off runners. This filly
has run well both on and off the pace.
R4 - #2 Ricopiola-Showed in last that she can win without the lead early, though I think she can take control of this race early. Should be an ok price.
R5 - #5 Gift of Giving-Has shown a touch of run in her 2 turf starts. Didn't have the best trip in her comebacker, and should improve here with a forward move.
R6 - #2 Vue de Chat-Her turf figs look formidable in this group. Should be tough here.
R7 - #4 Thou Swell-Ran well in route/turf debut. Tried to close on a very slow pace, but couldn't make up ground when they were really moving late. Gets blinkers today.
R8 - Pass. ML fav looks tough here.
R9 - #1a Them There Eyes-Ran a good one last out, closing on a very slow pace. Has won half her tries at Belmont. Price play here.
R10 - #6 Last Desire-Returns for new barn. Prado sees fit to ride.
