Ray if you don't mine asking.....what computer program are you using?

Because computer programs do not work for Northlands Park.....my home track.

The programs are better for the bigger tracks like Mohawk, Meadowlands, etc....

I use the Diamond Harness for Mohawk but I don't even try for NP.

It's better if you use track bias and racing style for NP and local knowledge which requires following the horses by personal observation.

I use my own program based on an Excel spreadsheet running Visual Basic Macros.
The program uses TrackMaster Data files type r.exe (the regular ones)

The macro program decompresses the data file and brings in the info I want.
It rejects most races as not playable, Maidens, small fields, too many potential breakers etc
Then it uses my own numbers for Driver, Trainer, Post Bias, Gate and Track speeds to come up with
its top 3 rated horses. If the Morning Line added together on these 3 is > 14 and
the Line on Pick1 is 5/2 or more then it adds the race to my playlist for the day.

For instance for Northlands(5/8) my numbers are:

Speed rating....117.4
1st Trailer.....9
Post Bias (1-10)......0.32 0.25 0.14 0.30 0.38 -0.27 -0.44 -0.60 -0.10 0.04

It picked the 1 in Race 10 at Northlands today because of recent claim, recent new LTM, and computer loves the rail.:)

I absolutely agree it's better to use local knowledge and personal observation but
I don't get to the track much anymore.
That is... until the new super fast Valley View track opens in Western Pa (2010?)

Good luck at Northlands

Must be a coincidence.....because I use Excel spreadsheets and macros for NP.

I download the pp's from Standred Canada and extract the lines (using Abletoextract version 4.0) from there I import the lines to Excel and using my own formula's to rate the next days entries.

It takes me a couple hours each week to extract the past week's races. I can only do it for NP because of a limited population of horses and very few ship ins.

By the way your #1 Art By Dylan came in 4th. He had horse left but there were a wall of horses in front of him and cannot get thru.

Good Luck with your handicapping!!!!
