Who do you guys use for account wagering?

I use Xpressbet and TVG. TVG charges me $5.95, X charges no monthly fee, both charge to deposit money into my accounts. I use both because they don't each carry the tracks I want to play, nether of these give me any perks.:bang:

I use twinspires and bodoglife.
I prefer twinspires because they don't charge monthly and provide me my live odds, exotic probables, and live video feeds for tracks not on TV.
I use bodog for the few tracks twinspires doesn't have. Gives me 3-5% rebates as well for all wagers.

Let me know if you plan on signing up for either, I'd love the bonus for sending a referall and I'll owe ya one

I use Youbet and TwinSpires and also hold accounts with Paydog, Day at the
Track, and Express Bet.

Youbet fits my style of wagering in that I like to make all bets around noon and I make 40 to 60 bets per day. I like their Wager Pad Pro for quickly entering wagers and they accept wagers even if the "runners have not been livened" as yet. At the Gold level, I can cancel any wagers if I make a wager in error.

As a resident of Pa, Youbet won't let me bet Pocono or Chester so I use Twin for those races.
also, Twin is the only ADW account I use for Hoosier and The Meadows.

I carry Day at the Track for Scarboro, Quebec, Gatineau, Bangor, and Batavia

At this point in time I don't know who will be offering Colonial and Hawthorn or the state fairs.

I intend to dump Paydog and Expressbet and I'm looking into PremierTurfClub because their rebate feature is attractive and there's nothing left in Youbet's rewards catalog that I want, and I don't quite qualify for their cash back level.

BTW Youbet stock has doubled since Apr 24th now at 1.38.... Magna (Express bet) is still tanking

Personally, the only thing I don't like about Bodog or any of the offshore accounts (just speaking for horse racing), is that all payoffs are capped off at a certain limit. Meaning, if you were to catch a moster trifecta, pick 4, pick 6 etc., they only pay out to a certain amount.

Also with Bodog, it has taken literally hours for them sometimes to credit my winnings for a horse race to my account (whereas regular racing sites do it instantaneously the second the race goes official). Just my opinion though.

TwinSpires because I had BrisBet previously. If I were to switch it would be to PTC.

fwiw, I still use Youbet.com.....but as slick as the site is, I know there is more, especially the rebates......I am going to look into PTC......but, I want to see the races live, and I'm not sure what tracks they carry for Harness.....with live feeds

Also, whenever I can't get what I want in youbet, I still have a bookie friend up north, in Jersey, where I used to live.......

Pretty much every player I know uses more then one service. I don't know that any one onshore service is any better or worse then the others although I have gotten lots of positive feedback from PTC account holders.

Sorry to say that until the offshores get shut down or their rebate program eliminated that is the route I must go. Aside from the rebates that are offered, my wagers not being pooled helps when I fire at tracks with tiny handles.

My suggestion to anyone would be to find the service that allows you to wager up to the actual start of a race and go out and get yourself RTN Satellite service. It's clean clear and not 15 to 35 seconds behind real time. Live is not really live if you are using an internet fed video. This affords the opportumity to que up your wager or wagers and wait til just before the start to fire which helps on the mile, is a big advantage on a 5/8ths, and is HUGE on the 1/2 milers.

Ever bet a horse (esp a trotter) that ran behind the gate or never got close to the gate (because it was ducking) from an outside post on a small track?

Kash,

I'm pretty sure that the setup costs run $200-$300 and the service runs $99 per month. The website is http://www.rtn.tv/ .

If you do any type of monthly numbers and utilize the service as I mentioned in my prior post, it will more then pay for itself. I actually modified the installation to include a dual LNB which allows my father to watch and fire on the t-breds while I am in my home office firing on harness which is all I ever play.

There are 40 channels daily and many are used for two tracks per day. I have posted todays schedule below.

As far as drawbacks go other then the cost there reallly is none and even the cost factor has alternatives.

The upside of having this service is huge if you are a skilled handicapper and know how to spot when a driver is prepping a horse to leave during the post parade and know what to look for when the wings of the gate first open. Speed duel melt downs aside, if you don't leave on a 1/2 or 5/8ths from the outside post you are racing for a check and your wager is pretty much a loser.

I make about 90 to 95 % of my bets on tracks offered at PREMIER TURF CLUB. I make the remainder of the bets at PINNACLE SPORTS, on a few tracks that PTC doesn't cover. At both of these sources I get a $$$ CASH REBATE $$$. Any bettor deserves the same reward. The daily cash rebate may not seem that much, but it's very pleasant to look at a PTC cash rebate monthly report, quarterly report, mid-year report, or yearly report, and look at the $$$ hundreds and hundreds $$$ (for big bettors it's $$$ thousands and thousands $$$) of cash rebate dollars that were added to one's PTC account.

I can do without collecting so-called 'reward points' to be exchanged at some ADWS for over-priced merchandise.

Some bettors don't mind giving up cash rebates for having access to live video from some ADWS. I can understand that scenario for those that like to have the live video to aid in their handicapping.

I can access free live video for about 70 % of the tracks I play, but rarely watch the live video anyway. With the many tracks to play some days, I don't have the time or inclination to watch the videos. I could do without the videos altogether if I had no choice. I don't have any neurotic need to watch a whole bunch of live videos on any given race day, but it's nice to have the the odd race on my computer screen if I feel like watching it.

If you already have an existing satellite dish in place (regardless of type)?

Donster,

I see where you are going here and you are on the right track but there are a couple things about the RTN setup that differ from Dish Network and/or Direct TV.

The first being that the G-3C/Ku Satellite that Roberts Communications broadcasts the RTN network from is a weak satellite therefore you would need a minimum of a 30 inch dish with a good working LNB.

An old Pansat 2500a FTA reciever will do the trick but one would need the software to actually grab the signal.

Pansats are a dime a dozen these days as are the older larger dish's and both can be obtained from ebay for under $100.

Apparently you don't ;)

That is dependent entirely upon your location or "parallel".
Some "latitudes", "may" require a 30'-in dish, while others would work fine on smaller dishes, and even others would require larger dishes.

Har

My references were provided for the latest PanSats and other-brands that are specific FTA recievers.
These are much different than the old analog receivers of pre-1995 that were designed for BIG dish use.

Please review the search and some of the FAQ's provided there and get a full understanding of this technology.

Don,

Without getting into detail, I am well versed in this area. Below is a quote from the FAQ section of RTN. A PM to you is forthcoming.

Tom

Will my existing Dish Network antenna also work?
No. They are two small to pull in our signal. The dish that we send is approximately 24” high and 36” long.

Tom,
They also FAIL to inform you that a 4ft X 4Ft or 10ft X 10ft KU dish will drastically increase your picture quality. Course there are other factors that influence as well.
Anybody who had a BIG dish in the old days that needed repairs, found out very quickly that many, many technicians are capable of installing and pointing dishes, however (with emphasis) few have the knowledge or experience to repair and enhance older systems. Most of which still function fine today and offer features and channels that pay-per-view services simply do not offer.

You can get Meadowlands, Yonkers, and Balmoral tonight on Cable or Dishnet, just tune to HRTV or TVG. The gentlemen are both right you need a 30x40 or larger dish to pickup RTN on Galaxy 3. On both you need a Universal Freq. LNB (differant than small dishnet type) and there reciever and a paid sub $99 month.
And the other gentleman was correct you could recieve RTN using a FTA reciever and the dish above mention,if you had the software to descramble and the key numbers to unlock the Nagravision 1 encrytion.( and go to jail for piracy)
