At Delaware this sensational 10 year old is running I believe in the 4th at 5.5 furlongs.

Won well, his 33rd win today. If I heard correctly was also Claimed.

Claimed by David Jacobson, which means he'll probably be making his return to New York sometime soon, hopefully.

It also means he'll probably run a 3 digit Beyer or two before disappearing.

It's not going to happen, but, Spooky Mulder deserves a place in the Horse Racing Hall of Fame, perhaps in a section for what's right about horse racing.

"I love Spooky" t-shirt would sell like hot cakes at Saratoga.

Best thing about opening day! He's in the last race - the workout pattern scares me, but this horse has tremendous heart.

once you claim a horse you cannot move him until the meet is over. i think deleware ends in october, so maybe then he will come back to new york.

that rule is in place so tracks don't lose all the horses that run there to other tracks because of race conditions or purse structures.

i jsut saw he is in new york today, does deleware have 2 meets? or do they just make you wait a certain time before you can take the horse out of there?

the horse ran on may 12, and shows up today in new york a little more than 2 months later

If a horse gets claimed at Del. he can run at another track after 60 days.

Yes, the stewards have the authority to waive the 60 day rule letting horses run in stake races upon application.
