I know JR posted this as a reply in another thread, but since there has been some Rush L. bashing lately (and mind you, I NEVER listed to Rush's radio show, simply because I don't have the time), I thought I'd point out a radio host from the left who is in serious trouble for a much more serious offense (in my opinion).

I wonder why certain folks who love to post negatives about TV and Radio hosts failed to catch this story? Is it because this guy doesn't have the (R) next to his name?

Bernie Ward, the most prominent liberal voice on Bay Area talk radio for more than two decades, admitted Thursday to distribution of child pornography by e-mail in a plea deal that will send him to federal prison for at least five years.

Why should we care about any of these swine left or right? They spend hours each day expelling verbal air more foul than a bean fart in a packed elevator. Snake Oil salesmen for those too lazy to read or think for themselves.

Instead of listening to Rush or Bernie or Al, etc. sit down with a national newspaper and an international newspaper (it is eye opening to look at the same story from the two perspectives) for an hour or so a day. Hell- spend an extra 30 minutes on the throne if that is what it takes.

After a few weeks of this one will be ready to ditch the Perverted Pied Pipers who bring nothing, but lies and spin to the table.

If one can spend an hour or more diligently studying the DRF then the above should be a snap.

Well now that he is going to Fed lockup he will no doubt come out after having "found" relgion and then he will get your precious "R" next to his name and no doubt be on the air with Bennet , Limbaugh,Liddy and the rest of the crooks and slimeballs from both sides.

I don't listen to any of them on radio and I DO HAVE PLENTY of time for it , but from the very small amount I read from links that JR posts on this site and just general "in-the-air" talk I pick up on from time to time, I would ask why subject yourself to obviously brain dead trash talk of the most inspid type peddled by people only interested in their own sordid pleasures and making the next dollar by any means available.

Tracking me pretty hard today. I actually missed the Rush bashing.

The past 8 months or so have been spent focusing on horse racing, which attracted me to your site originally. I have gained much from the Horse Racing posts here. I still prefer to focus on the ponies.

I have just been feeling feisty lately and it seems to me ya'll can handle the weight of the freight. I think for myself and express what I hope are somewhat informed opinions.

I have little or no respect for Talking Heads whether they be conservative or liberal. An illegal act is an illegal act whether it is prescriptions or hustling kids on the internet. To say one is less criminal than the other is semantics depending on political affiliation. A criminal is a criminal.

Obviously I have been pegged as a Big (D). I am a Liberal, but I dislike the 2 party system, which for the most part, might as well be a one party system.

I hate voting for the lesser of two evils.

With his sobbing family looking on in a San Francisco courtroom, former KGO radio host Bernie Ward today completed his tumble from one of the Bay Area's most popular liberal voices on the local airwaves to a pariah caught up in the world of online child pornography.

Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker sentenced Ward to seven years and three months in federal prison, calling the disgraced celebrity a "troubled individual'' whose downfall is a "personal tragedy.'' Ward now must turn himself in to U.S. Marshals by noon Friday to begin his prison term.

Ward declined to comment after the hearing, where his family and friends sat in the gallery, his wife and son in the front row clutching each others' hands. Ward hugged his family when he emerged from the courtroom and walked away with his lawyer. Before the sentence was handed down, Ward spoke briefly to the judge, saying, "I regret the harm this has caused my family, my friends, and this community.''

The 57-year-old Ward pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of distributing child pornography, the result of an investigation that was triggered by his online chats with an online dominatrix who turned him in to police when she grew concerned about images he had of young children. The former Roman Catholic priest and father of four went into federal court in San Francisco knowing he would be headed to prison for a minimum of five years under strict federal sentencing guidelines for child porn cases
