actually i didnt play the derby because i had a future ticket on it.so i played nothing to jinx my ticket.my future ticket was $50 at 36/1 on visionaire. i split it with my pops in vegas.

but i did have some plays on the other races and made out well.

i actually play alot of harness. if you have a good eye for horses as to their appearance then harness racing will come pretty easy to you. usually when they come on the track you can eliminate half the field because half of thenm usually look so terrible. alot of these harness horses race weekly.

have a new theory about these cheaper races in australia but im still looking it over.

That was a perfect example of what Brohamer calls 'the turn back play'.
If you look at the Jan 29 1M70yds race, the 5 ran the first 6 f in 1:13 and then went on to run another 2 fs and 70 yds.
On Apr 14, the 7 ran a 6 f race in 1:12.
Which effort is more impressive?

Brohamer explains all this in his chapter in 'Bet With The Best 2 - Longshots' which is titled 'The Turn back Play'. It's worth a read folks.
Brohamer says he makes money on this situation at least once a week.
This is the first time I saw 'the turn back play' in a race.
Look for it.

Your handicapping was good - you were keying the right horses, just not getting the right horses underneath. A lot of that was luck as I noticed most of the horses you had in third ran 4th etc.
