If it was dirt. Didn't seem to burst into puffs the way clods of dirt will do, when kicked up. Looked like gooey, gritty splatters of paste.

I believed last last night that he wasn't going to take to it.

Still waiting for a better view than NBC's high angle longshot. I don't think he ran a step. ...Trying to duck away, while ambling along like he was.

I didn't see CJ him for more than a glimpse at the beginning--I was watching the pace and Big Brown set up. CJ had to go wide to get around and into the stretch, he made it but that was all he could muster, and he got passed by others. None of the closers impressed, but Denis of Cork got a wicked ride from Borel to get into the tri.
