Given all the rain the turf course took the day before, the turf certainly has some give in it.

THORN SONG has run his better races over a turf course with some give.
I'll play him to win & in the exactas with EINSTEIN & ARTISTE ROYALE.

Good Luck,
John

I'm concerned Einstein is 0-3 on CD turf......overall a weak Gr1 race, I thought he would be logical, but now, I'm looking for an unforeseeable longshot.

It is probably just to simple for a speed guy or Sartinologist to grasp. First, the admirers of the complex have to learn that it is the simple things that get by them the most. Once they understand this well, learning can take place.

I meant the formatting...it looks like a soduko puzzle or something. How do you read it?

It's a new form of hieroglyphics that requires taking a special class in order to interpret it. Clearly beyond the grasp of us low-IQ types.

I have found reading those numbers only requires one simple thing, a result chart.

Once I have that, those numbers come plainly into focus for win, exotics, and any other forms of bets. :jump:

I must be one dumb old butt. Why is 55 important and not 56?

If the ability factor is key why are they sorted by Early Speed?????

I'll jump in for a moment -
Actually, after some explaining to me what they were, and reading some examples here, the whoel thing is actually quite interesting. You are balancing several things, ability, early speed, and post. Not sure yet on the final number. I see the logic of it all, and have picked some winners before looking at the charts. For example, you have a top ability horse (low number) but his early speed is the worst in the field - you have to balance those out.
Just observations from one who has played around with them.

These are very good questions, not the sort that come from a dumb old butt, the dumb old butts usually don't notice that one point can make a difference.

The ability is key, early speed is an ability in itself, but that ability is flexible and it is key to overall ability for the distance.

When this idea is continuously verified by results, race after race, day after day, track after track, without regard to odds, surface, and class, then even a dumbass like myself has to conclude that the idea = true.

# POST/ErlSpd/ML/Comp - Just follow this heading.

51 8 90 5 141 This is a composite number that I am observing
74 2 89 4 163
56 4 88 5 144
38 5 88 3 126
41 1 88 5 129

75 6 87 20 162
60 3 87 4.5 147
55 7 79 8 134

That conclusion, with understanding of why and how it is so, now provides a complete key. The understanding of why and how it is so, is relatively easy to come by. I'd bet that any dumb old butt could have it in hand fairly quickly, depending on your motivation.

This is certainly the toughest class that I have ever engaged, and I think that the problem here is that I've already been handing you answers for a year and a half, and they don't seem to have stuck yet.

So here is what I'll do with you, I'll tell you that the answer is right on the chart there, and as soon as you give it to me, you get 5 days Of Ability-X ratings for Belmont for further study and answer finding. And, who knows how many more cold winners, exactas, trifectas, and supers might be in there.

And, don't think that I don't appreciate the crack about the results charts, but the fact is that I've handed many of these out pre-race, and while you assigned no value to them, they have been in fact worth a great deal of money. And there has not been one Ability-X chart that I have posted to this board in 2008, that did not go out to members of this board on the morning of the race.

My buddy,

You know what the answer is on this one, I'll put you down as co-winner if you will let these guys think on it awhile.
