Just for a lark, I am going to put up a small stipend ( $50 Can.) to anyone who can predict the leader, at the 4f, 6f, and the mile in the derby as posted by the DRF, just to add a little interest. Just post them here and make sure it`s before post time.

There are five horses who should be gunning for the lead.

They all are on the far outside, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20. This makes for a bit of a hurdle if Big Brown is gunning.

No reason for #13 Bob Black Jack to rate so give him the 4 furlongs.

I look for #18 recapturethe glory to push first and take the lead at 6 furlongs.

Then #20 Big Brown kicks in at the mile, it is a long hard wide trip for him with no breathers, so if he holds on for another quarter mile, the next 2 weeks will be proclaiming him a Triple Crown winner before he even gets in the gate at Pimlico.

Col. John's wagon busted a wheel when he had to be abruptley yanked up on the backstretch...so don't feel bad about that. He would have been way closer if he'd had some runnin' room....along with a few others.

Me thinks it's time to slim down the Kentucky Derby fields... 14-16 would be enough.... although this Derby was Big Brown's :jump: for the taking.

Are ya gonna use your winnings here to bet the Preakness...on BB ;) ??
