$40 for admission and no wagers?

That is absurd!

And irresponsible to make such a ridiculous claim!

If any of your are planning to go, they will accept wagers. Please overlook this nonsense claim.

Evans was kinda proud of himself for lowering handle last year. Maybe he figures he can lower overhead by getting rid of all those pesky money counters.

Can you cite a source for this claim?

Something must have gotten mangled.

I know CD on track is only taking wagers on their Oaks and Derby cards those two days, no simulcast wagering.

At their Trackside OTB, they are taking wagers on CD and simulcasts.

It makes a mindnumbingly boring day for a player who is used to betting a large number of simulcasts on a day at the track. 60-90 minutes between races and no simulcasts - thats entertainment.

Even if the top of the thread is not 100% true it is close.

They make the most cash by selling only their own product. They figure if you're ontrack & can't bet anything else, you'll empty your wallet on their racecard! The Tellers are ONLY taking Churchill races, yet they can't allow Dime Action because it'll back up lines. What a joke.

What the original poster was trying to say is that you can not bet Churchill on Twinspires. The horseman have blocked Twinspires ADW from offering Churchill. However there will be a special exception for the Derby, Oaks and Woodford Reserve. Make your contingency plans now if you want to bet these cards.

Actually, what the OP was trying to state was that you won't be able to bet the Derby or Oaks at TVG. Is this actually true, or is a deal still possible in the final hour to allow wagering on those two events?

As per my communication with a rep from TVG, the odds of any final deal are slim to none and we all know where slim is.
His recommendation was to go to the track/otb and wager. And, from what I can determine, HRTV is not accepting CD wagers either.

The fortunate thing with TVG is that if a deal is struck by Saturday AM, deposits are accepted immediately; at least from Maryland. Maybe it's because we're the wealthiest state:lol:

If I go The Woodlands simulcast Saturday, will I be able to bet on the Derby?

Also, will I be able to bet on Calder, and on the Churchill undercard?
