I think it was $25 the last time I went over 20 years ago, so, relative to other things like Super Bowls and Final Fours, that almost strikes me as not bad. Almost. Still a big hit on the mint julep budget, though.

I guess that price range would put it way out of reach for you to go this weekend. I will check back monday to see who you like in the derby Saturday. That should give you enough time to come up with the winner.:D

$40? I could play 400 dime superfectas with that kind of money!

Oh wait, nothing to worry about, they aren't selling dime supers that day....

Huh? There's a building on the backside primarily for wagering.

You could pay another $150 for a seat where you couldn't see anything! If you really want to see the race 1000 minimum.

My guess is 80% of the people at derby with SEATS can't see anything in front of them but ass or heads. Churchill is by far and away the worst track to see a horse race at.

I've heard the term gonzo a couple of times, but basically punchy from betting horses every day since I was 12.... Just havin a little fun with Kaptain Karl, who I must say can at least take it, as well as give it, without being a broad about it.
I will give everyone who reads this ...one winner on derby day. Duveen will win the Woodward Reserve. He is 8-1 morning line , but will never be that. I am hoping for 4-1. All I need is the last 2 winners and I can hit a big pick 4 by alling the derby and catching a bombs away bob bomb. If anyone can come up with something in the last 2 it can be a big day. big fat fields in the last 2 races also. It could made into a monster if we all pull together as a team. Roger Waters told me this personally.
