The fact that National Captain is in for a tag after being super competitive in graded events is really bothersome even though it's a high tag.
That said, Bon Marie has turned into a new animal since the trainer change and the former trip monger can now take air and survive trouble and live to tell about it.
Throw out the last on the poly and this one should be able to find the hedge pretty quickly and brush these into oblivion.
Others deserving mention on todays card are:
Final Resolution in the second. He is much better in fast footing and despite cutting back in distance, I still think he is the fastest of the speeds.
In the 5th, Inda Easter Parade had a brutal trip in debut and now drops into a super weak spot. Draws wide again but should land a major piece with any kind of ground saving trip.
In the sixth, Smart Surprise is the one to beat at a very short price but look out for Quiet Now.
No panicky drop on this homebred and Pletcher is not one to protect those he doesn't think have ability. Could wake up at a big price today.
And in the finale, Burnished Copper meets statebreds for the first time in some time and all turf tries are good enough to beat this field.
