He was hurt badly in an accident at Philadelphia Park. He is close to coming back as he was on an internet show late last week -Thursday - third hour on the thoroughbred radio racing network. He is a regular - once a week - on this show.

He suffered a broken shoulder in late January and hasn't returned to riding yet that I know of. At age 56, that can't be an easy recuperation.

Had a little trouble squeezing out 'At the Races' I guess, eh Fig? Actually, the show is on Sirius 126, M-F, 4-7pm and repeated 1-4am and 4-7am. Also avail on the Net.

Tony follows Rich Eng and Steve Haskin at 6pm Thursdays on 'At the Races'... The fracture in his shoulder is almost 100% and he's been back on horses the last few weeks. First ride back should be any day. Tony's segment is one the most appreciated on the show as his honesty about riding, racing and his own life in the game is totally refreshing. A 100% genuine guy.
