Don't know how many other breed fans we have on the board, but it's a bummer that Paint horse extraordinaire Got Country Grip just failed in his attempt last night to win his 17th straight race. A streak that long for any breed is quite an accomplishment.

Don't they sometime run in mixed-breed affairs ?

I even remember a thoroughbred that Jack Van Berg had. Looked like a pure paint, or at least Little Joe Cartwright's horse. Not, I repeat, NOT a pigment of my imagination.

I notice how gorgeous the horses are these days. Maybe they always were, and I just didn't notice in my oniomaniacal state.
