Y'all know by now I'm a truck driver who owns his own truck,
2001, 9400 Eagle International , and would be interested in possibly hauling race horses, anyone here have a few idea's or leads that I may persue on this subject?? I will do my google search, but this board may know the right people and be able to open a door for me, then it is up to me after that, of course.

Why not haul horses, what I doing now isn't working out to great, why not try something different, unless someone wants but my truck right now for 20k, yep 20k and it's yours, but seriously folks, since that will not happen, maybe I should look into this, every lit bit of knowledge will help in his game, right?

Check with some of the hauling companies to get an idea of what is needed to get into the business. We used Equine Express.

www.equiineexpress.com I think.

That is some excellent advice. It is not only the horse you will be hauling.

We also used Sallee when shipping to Ocala. They also were excellent to work with.

I live about 12 miles from Ocala Breeder Sales,,I sometimes go there for sumulcast and when their good sales are going.....I was there in the last week or two....and saw a bunch of Sallee vans, they seemed to be pretty organized and knowledgeable about their precious cargo's.....

Sallee is the biggest name in transporting racehorses. They get the big trainers and big owners (Sheikh Mo). I can't really recall ever seeing an Equine Express van at the racetracks or at the Keeneland sales. Not saying they aren't around, but Sallee has the best accounts.;)

Sallee and Brookledge are the only two I've ever seen coming and going from the Keeneland barns, on the highways in Kentucky, Florida, and on I-95 running the north-south corridor. As Shenanigans stated, Sallee being the largest--
