Actually THE worst name ever has to be 'The Green :ThmbDown: Monkey" When I first saw the photo of his breeze at the sale, I thought he was incredible looking, and with his pedigree would be one to look at as a great horse...then when I read what they named him, I thought, with a name like that, this horse ain't gonna do anything...wish I hadn't been right about that....but for the most part, good horses have good names.

I for one was happy when he turned out to be a flop. It went from a battle for a good horse to a pissing war for who has the most cash. Turns out the one with less cash got the last laugh, the way I'd hoped it'd be.

AH, yes...good point about the price they paid... one day it's going :rolleyes: to dawn on these guys that spending multi millions for a horse doesn't mean that horse is going to be a runnin' SOB....guess they forget about horses like Slew, Silver Charm ect ect...

But...as far as names go... I still say The Green Monkey is way worse than Monba:lol: ...mamba,bamba, samba, banana,bama, bo-monba :jump:

His owners must have been comedians!! (not much of a pedigree).

I heard the announcer say the name 'Toasted' in this brief call....when I was rubbing at Belmont, TJ Kelley had a horse named Toasted, I can't imagine it the same horse, but yet, not enough years would have gone by for another horse to take that name. He was just an allowance horse...TJ worked him one morning before the clockers got there, and the horse went off big, cashed a nice bet that day.
