I have noticed,

you guys have lost interest at the Mountain since we hit spring,

and the track is cleaning up.

Chris Longshot

hey whobet, I'll never lose interest in the mountain, been sick last few days, plus work has been really hectic, not getting much sleep lately, tired and sluggish daily, I'll use that as an excuse for my lackluster selections lol. I know joe's been busy with other endeavours, I spend a lot of mnr live races capping future cards, only time I have, work full time, as the summer gets here, will have more time to chat. Can't speak for the others, juan's here tonight but he prefers other tracks, he would tell you as much. I have time to chat tonight, what's your thoughts?

thanks whobet, though right now, struggling a bit, one of the reasons I have been somewhat successful at the mountain is the time and dedication I've spent over the last 5 years or so. Without watching a track day in and day out, its hard to be successful, unless I steal your database of course lol. Seriously, I can nail LS at other tracks just by following the LS trainers, I'll follow them around and wait to get a big price but without one, charting the races, taking bias notes, analyzing trainer angles, don't feel confident branching off to other tracks, plus dont have the time, with no job in the way, I could do it but in reality, I'm more of a mountaineer fan than a huge racing fan. If mnr closed tommorrow, I would probably lose interest, one of the reasons I started playing the mountain was because I was so bored to tears with Aqueduct and Belmont, my home tracks, only track that gets me motivated other than mnr, is Saratoga, made some nice scores there but that's a short meet.

some of the jockeys at the mountain are too cocky sometimes, they think just because there on the supposed best horse, they can just lag 10-12 lengths off the lead, and blow by them late, last few nights many infererior horses on or near the lead have been saving place and show spots due to gross miscalculations of top jocks, who are keeping there horses way too far off the pace, race after race, making huge rallies to finish 4th and 5th at short odds, especially in the feature races. Just an observation, I know you feel the pain with me.

I think based on what you are saying,
how you operate,
you should be looking at a/the "All Weather Track's "

there is a lot of opportunities there.

its funny you say that, one of my most hated tracks is Turfway, known for big prices, cannot cash a ticket there even if I fixed the races myself and you would think with a lot of the same trainers and horses from mnr, I would do well, hate Polytrack, like tapeta better, but at santa anita have had some success, but why play tracks where the favorites run 1-2 every race with a occassional LS(10-1) lol, once every 3 days. Some people feel more secure betting horses they know will run to form, I shoot for the stars, probably my greatest flaw but hey I enjoy myself. I'm different I guess.

excellent juan!!! just another example of a good jock beating the other jocks to the punch, on the front end again.

How many favorites has Rex burned up and how many winners has he taken off this week, its becoming an epidemic, new angle in play, who ever Rex takes off, is your the winner lol good call again juan!!

i caught that a few days ago and have been playing him since.

if i see a trainer win two in a day or hit the board a few times in a day i keep him under close watch in case of a hot streak.
