Was i in the wrong.
I was working on the Gaylord Washington National Harbor project ,when during the lunch break i was escorted off the property .
Now i was working on the edge of the Gaylord property troubleshooting a pole light that was not working. The lunch hour came up and i had my tools ,my helpers tools ,company tools and 2 ladders. The ladders were tied off to the pole and a rock column because it was so windy that day i could not work off the ladder safely.
Previously i was instructed not to leave a work area unattended because of guests from the newly opened hotel and convention center might be walking around .
So i told my helper i would stay near the area and watch over things because i did not have any lunch and did not want any .All i had was an energy drink.
So i sat on 1 of the newly installed benches directly across from my work location.
No sooner had I sat down ,a guy in an ATV drove up and told me there was no eating allowed on the property.
I had not been informed of this by my supervisors.
The man on the ATV did not identify himself as an employee of Gaylord or Of Perini ,general contractors of the project.
He was wearing a Vally Stream Landscaping company jacket.

As a side note i have been suffering from a torn meniscus since Jan 16.
I was finally sent to a ORTHO and he recommended surgery but i have not heard from the lawyer doing the investigation for the insurance company whether to proceed with the surgery.
I mention that because i was in some pain that day and every day but the medication the doctor gave me was vicadin ,and it had made me light headed and drowsy so i did not take any that day knowing i was working of a 12 foot ladder.
After the man in the Vally stream jacket told me there was not any eating on the property,i asked him to show me that in writing on a paper with the company letterhead.
The guy went ballistic ,got on his radio ,called the police and had me escorted off the property.
I did not want to move because i was in pain.
I was doing what my supervisors had told me.That is do not leave the work area unattended.
I was not EATING lunch because i did not have any food products.
All i had was an energy drink.
i was at the edge of the property.
There were no guests walking around .
Did he have the right to throw me off.

what is the identity of the guy who told you "no eating" you left that part out. Regardless of what he was wearing, who was he?

If he has domain over the property, I don't think you have a leg to stand on. I think you asking for "written proof" was a little much. It may not have been unreasonable later, but not on the spot. If he is a supervisor he should have identified himself as such, and you should have complied. Surely both of you could have handled it better. This is a tough call not being present for the event. It is hard to ascertain the true atmosphere at the job site.

One question. Your injury, does it have anything to do with a claim against Perini et al?
