I just noticed that PTC has added this new harness track named Running Aces Harness Park, on their menu starting on April 11, 2008. I did a search to find out a few things about this newest harness racing facility located in Minnesota.

It says at the www.ustrotting.com (http://www.ustrotting.com/) site, that it can have up to 9 starters behind the gate, and an 'open stretch'. There is no mention of the circumference of this harness oval. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong on these assumptions:

1. I'm assuming this is a 5/8 mile harness oval

2. I'm assuming 9 starters behind the gate means...9 wide with no trailer.

3. I'm assuming that 'open stretch' means there will be a passing lane in the stretch.

--I'm also assuming either MELMAN or IAN MEYERS will be amongst the first ones to enlighten me on these assumptions. :)

Thanks,

T2W

I was actually coming in here to post very similar questions. To my understanding, you are correct on all three assumptions. This track should be interesting.

This reminds me of when Tioga opened. I went through its website several times and couldn't find the size of the track.

Under 'About Us' the site says it is 5/8.
