Boots Baker?

Anyone know anything about Boots? Supposedly an associate or acquaintance of Ray Taulbot? Thanks for any info.

Boots was a writer for Turf Guide magazine which may have been published by Amerpub (Taulbot's publisher). He also wrote a couple of pamphlets as did the other TG writere, Delbert Downs and John Casey. Turf Guide was on pulp paper and was slanted toward "systems to beat the races" rather than items of general interest. I used to read it during class. Wish I could help you more. I always thought those names were all pseudonyms but who knows.
