I gotta ask... how are you guys coming up with good opinions on those 2f baby races?Wesley Ward is usually pretty good with em', and always watch for the uncoupled entries. Yesterday, Ward's favorite got beat by his horse on the outside at 7-1. This is an angle you really should pay attention to.

Turfday Superstats will show a trainer's stats with 2 year olds, along with FTS stats and a Sire/Dam's propensity with the young uns'.

I have no affiliation with the service, but do find it indispensable, and utilize it everyday with my Youbet subscription.

Since I took a shot at these races the last two days, I will offer my two cents on the topic...

I try to look for a trainer who has shown some aptitude in this area in the past and yet still demand a bit of a price. Worked for me yesterday... today, not so much.

I have heard Wesley Ward referred to as 'The King of The Babies". He won yesterday at 7.5 -1. He also had the favorite that finished 6th at 1.3-1. Today his 5-1 ML entry was bet down to 2-1 and finished 3rd. Nonetheless, his entries are always worth a look in these spots.

I gotta ask... how are you guys coming up with good opinions on those 2f baby races?One more thing you should watch when the SoCal meeting moves to Hollywood Park. Pay attention to the first time starters with ML's of 3-1 and 5-1. I've found these to be major contenders, though some might argue with statistics. :lol:

I believe the linemaker/clocker at Hollypark, Russ Hudek, to list FTS's that catch his eye at these ML's, based on information that Marty Panza told a friend of mine years ago.

Watch this perspective and let me know what you think.
