How does it go: may the road rise up to meet you and the wind be at your back?

In days gone by, if you had an Irish name Santa Anita let you in for free. If you didn't, they gave you a name card with an O' in front of your your last name.

So we went there with INSIDE INFORMATION from a friend's trainer and bet this one big win and place. When I saw a horse Irish Tryst in the race, I mentioned that would be a good hunch bet for the day. Who beat us by a nose?????

At GGF they used to bring Silky Sullivan out on this day and he would eat a cake full of oats. Nice old guy.
