Just for fun took the PP's for 23 Derby contenders from the DRF of March 9 and ran them through All-In-One V6 Manual Entry with probably the horse's best race and all were "Dirt, Fast." The output did not show fair odds but it did show a power rating. The choices are shown as follows ranked by the Power rating showing

Yeah, that is really whacky. Two horses that haven't even run a route are ahead of the 1st and 2nd horses in the BC Juvenile, one who has already added two additional route feathers to his cap. It makey no sense.
