It's Palm Sunday; NY still has a law which prohibits gambling on certain days and Palm Sunday is one of them. I don't believe Aqu will run next Sunday (Easter) either.

For those who had a miserable date on Saturday, hopefully you can at least enjoy your palm Sunday.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. And, today, the good Lord saw fit to taketh away all that War Pass show money from those people who obviously have far too much money and, God forgive me, much more money than brains, and giveth it to us more deserving simple folk who know not what we do, and need help.

Hallelujah.

No racing Easter, either.

Enjoy your palm sundae.

This has only been going on for as long as I can remember. Welcome to the sport.

Some of us can remember when there was no racing on any Sunday in NY with the so called "Blue laws".
I think when the blue laws were lifted a compromise was made that kept Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday as no racing days.

What does seem troubling though, as my friends in NY note . . . is the fact that only GAMBLING on horseracing is denied.

If one enjoys slots, blackjack, bingo, etc. enjoy your usual Sunday routine at the casinos or bingo parlors.......... All of which, would be a big PASS in my book.

I had figured the dark day was out of homage to ex-Governor Spitzer.

LOLOL Foolish me, still trying to bet to win only. I'm going to rethink this, I may try the dime supers, SC. Travel is expensive, I need some large tickets.
