A European cohort is wondering the following.

He fishes for overlay show pools on chalk in fields of 8 or less. He's been booted out of one offshore and is wondering which are better at taking this kind of action. He plays heavy and can join Pinnacle or wherever.

Any off-shore wizards about that could offer advice?

Lazerwager is rated D- by SBR

I would stick to bodog, pinnacle, bookmaker, ehorse, bet jamaica, one of the larger books.

Have your friend read up on SBR or other watchdog sites.

i use Bookmaker .com.....8% rebates on exotic wagers...only 3% on straight WPS, with a caveat concerning show pool....

He'd more than likely get matched at betfair at 1.07-1.11 on those type bets in eight horse fields. Since he would not get a rebate in offshores on 2.10's it is an option.

He'd have to play live tho.

Lazerwager is bad news; don't give them a penny.

The so called "watch dog" sites for the online gaming industry (i.e. Sportsbookreview.com (SBR) - where lazerwager.com got the "D" or eog.com, therx.com) charge a ton for advertising. They support the sites that pay the fees and blast anyone that isn't an advertiser. Makes perfect sense - you can't give lazerwager.com an "A" rating for free and then give a "C" rating for a book paying you $8,000 a month in advertising. Also, SBR states right on their rating system that any book with less then a year in the business is going to be rated at "C" or lower until they prove themselves, so no shock at the "D".

Betting overlays, eh. This is with how many MTP? In any event, I'd start at Pinnacle, because if you're not betting giant chalk then you may get show prices above 2.20 which will get the 7% rebate (lower in NY I guess) and the bets won't be disrupting the pools.

$8,000 a month for advertising? Wow....I know SBR is larger than PaceAdvantage, but they're not THAT much larger.....(rankings on Alexa have PA at around 200,000 and SBR at 156,000)....we were at 185,000 last week....

I know Alexa isn't all that accurate, but it's a start......You're joking about the 8k, right?

$1800 to $3000 a month is more like it. Although they are probably on a % with some of those sportsbooks.

I'd like to speak up on behalf of SBR. I asked for their help when ehorse was giving me the run around (well over a month without paying me over $20k) and as soon as SBR got involved, ehorse finally came up with my money rather than continuing to give me further excuses. So, although they have conflicts of interest, they also do good things for the bettor.
