Based on continued oppositon from residents of this small town in Central New Jersey the NJSEA has officially withdrawn its recommendation for the OTW to be built on a current Saturn dealership owned by James Tino of Multi Chevrolet in Union NJ. 500 residents signed an internet petition citing parking and traffic flow issues for the planned facility. The NJSEA asked people to go to Favorites in Woodbridgs NJ to see how such a facility looked and many came back with the same issues parking and traffic flow. This is where it gets crazy, route 1 has been one of the worst major NJ highways for traffic due to two major malls and an over abundance of restaurants and other shopping facilities along a 3-4 mile stretch. Route 1 is just now undergoing a much needed lane expansion and no matter what time of day the road is a traffic nightmare. NJSEA did not properly address this at the meetings and should of realized that the major issues of the traffic and parking will never go away in that area. Green Brooks residents on the other hand feared more traffic and parking issues as well as the possibility of "undesirables" coming into their neighborhoods looking for trouble. If any of you have visited Favorites it is a great facility. Trouble is the parking and traffic are horrendous. Not a great idea to show this off to the would-be candidate for another facility. Poor planning on the part of the NJSEA and poor timing has ended the possibility of having another very nice facility where one is needed.

Word is that Favorites has purchased the nearby gas station and is knocking it down and building a parking garage.

That is good news the parking at that facility is terrible and I think the extra 150 spots would be a welcome addition.

it's a shame, our local Favorites is quite nice...these folks try their best to put out out their product..though we don't have the amenities that Woodbridge has
