Great stuff Jog’n…

I saw Winwood (way back!) at the Garden State arts center and was frankly dragged there by a girlfriend. I was SHOCKED how well he could play so many instruments. I’m not talking about the Wayne Newton learn a lick and BS the rest…I’m talking actually PLAY them.

If I may…You reminded me of this concert and Jeff Beck had an Australian female bass player who just WAILS that I would like to share… Tal Wilkenfeld...LOVE HER!!!

A few clips with the great Jeff Beck… (As you can tell from Jeff’s reaction; this is just awesome technique and feel from such a young player)

You have to love Bill Murray’s introduction to Beck’s set…not to mention any band staring out with an obscure tune from the legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra gets complete respect!

The entire show is on YouTube and worth a listen!

I only got through girls college by listening to Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos and a Bread album to go to sleep. My roommate and I put on that song "I used to ...." Well that's not a lot of words, but that slow soft song Bread did. We would go to sleep by every night. We were so lonely for guys.

I actually didn't follow Beck, but he is something. He's doing some sort of slapping thing.

I saw that girl bassist on some TV show, she's something.

Saw Robby Roberts (is that his name, was with the Band) in Long Island. He was his usual cool self!! He would oggle Joni Mitchell when she played with them.
