I don't get some of these jockeys at delta, especially in routes, they waltz there horses out of the gates, fall 15 lengths behind, only to mount huge bids late just in time to nail 4th or 5th. Shouldn't someone tell them to get the horses closer to the pace, maybe 8 lengths off instead. Never seen so many tired horse hold 2nd and 3rd because the closers leave themselves with too much work to do.

i play speed in 7 furlong races in australia and in the 2nd i went against what i always say and went with a closer. well the two speed horses came in 1st and 3rd and the $1 tri was $4400+. the horse that came in first was $80+.:bang:
