Probably a "pipe dream" but someone needs to step forward and overhaul this admittedly DYING sport before it is too late.
I find it amazing that in this day and age, with what business guru's know about anything else that is promoted with Madison Avenue psychology, the "powers that be" still miss the boat entirely in promotion of racing.
Public confidence is slipping as more and more drugs taint what is left of the horses. The horses themselves are losing their ability at stamina with the stupid notion of breeding noting but speed and never having graded stamina contests on the racing schedule to even find out where the extant stamina lines are (other than turf).
Greed and in- fighting are destroying this sport. I was born too late.
