Should be every bit of that, promises to get a lot of action with over a million "dead" dollars in the pool as part of a holiday race card and will certainly require a fairly large spread ticket to have a fighting chance of hitting it. Field sizes are large (and that's good) which adds to the challenge, but there is enough value to be had for me to take a serious look at playing it...;)

Agreed. Given the prices since the track was renovated, it opens the wager up to numerous possibilities. I was being conservative with $3.5MM, but there could be $3MM of fresh money alone coming in on top of the nearly $1.3MM of carryover. $4MM pool is very doable. It does not help that TVG does not televise it as HRTV simply does not have the distribution on these type of days, but it is available on all the major ADWs so that will help bolster the pool.
