Has anyone else noticed the proliferation of longshot first and second place finishers in the last week or so. At all track levels. I am aware of and have come to accept the unpredictable nature of the northern tracks this time of year. But it seems to be happening all over the place. Anyone have a clue or is it just another aspect of the game that is designed to drive me crazy?

Maybe so... but are we referring to the horses or the people here... or perhaps both...

But it seems to be happening all over the place.

I remember reading the charts for Gulfstream a day or two ago and noticing every winner paid less than $10. I guess it all depends what you are looking for.

I think were seeing how Rufus T. Firefly when bankrupt as president of Freedonia. ;) I think Groucho was later quoted as saying…”Man does not live by chalk alone”.

To put this all in its proper perspective, my current 1 for 40 streak has been littered with longshot exacta plays. I played one cold exacta at Penn last night and hit the winner but no payoff. And so it goes.

p.s. The night before I had the winner of the first race at Charlestown, a 31-1 shot. I switched over to another track only to return later to find out I was dq'd. Don't get me started on Delta Downs.
